The year of Covid – Whispering in the Darkness!

Coronavirus, a word that was repeated more than any other word in everyone’s mouth the last 12 months globally. A virus that left behind millions of dead people and locked all of us in our homes.

A world that focused its hope on the scientific medical community from the beginning. All governments backed by medical experts. Complex and on most occasions sophisticated graphs were presented to the public by Prime Ministers and government Ministers to explain the spread of the disease.

A society, locked behind the door of their homes, patiently anticipating the good news of a vaccine that will save the world. The vaccinations commenced but the uncertainty remained.

The dominant queries of ALL, what will happen with the GCSE’s? when the pubs will reopen? are we going to be allowed to travel for our summer holidays? How long ‘working from home’ will last? When are we going to get rid of the facing masks? Whispering to the darkness.

“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”  John 8:12

These are the words that Jesus Christ spoke about Himself.

When it is an imperative need to lay our hope on our own human abilities and it seems no longer reasonable to turn our hopes to our Creator then it is obvious that we have reached the highest degree of darkness in our lives. Coronavirus just proved that on a global level.

Listen carefully at Jesus declaration:

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

Believe in Him before it is too late. Because……..

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
